2014 HDC committee changes!

Speaker Chopp is pleased to announce the following changes to committee assignments.

Effective immediately:

Rep. Sherry Appleton is appointed Chair of Community Development, Housing & Tribal Affairs

Rep. Jessyn Farrell is appointed Vice Chair of Environment

Rep. Jake Fey is moved from Capital Budget to Education

Rep. Joe Fitzgibbon is moved from Government Operations & Elections to Environment, and appointed Chair of Environment

Rep. Mia Gregerson is appointed to Community Development, Housing & Tribal Affairs, Higher Education and Local Government, and is appointed Vice Chair of Local Government

Rep. Laurie Jinkins is appointed Chair of Judiciary and moved from the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health & Human Services to the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government & Information Technology

Rep. Kris Lytton is appointed to Appropriations, the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, and Rules

Rep. Marcus Riccelli is appointed Vice Chair of Health Care & Wellness (replacing Rep. Jinkins) and removed from Higher Education

Rep. June Robinson is appointed to Community Development, Housing & Tribal Affairs and Government Operations & Elections

Rep. Cindy Ryu is moved from Community Development, Housing & Tribal Affairs to Technology & Economic Development

Rep. David Sawyer is appointed Vice Chair of Community Development, Housing & Tribal Affairs (replacing Rep. Appleton)

Rep. Tana Senn is appointed to Capital Budget and Environment

Rep. Steve Tharinger is appointed to Appropriations and the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health & Human Services

Rep. Brady Walkinshaw is appointed to Higher Education, Judiciary and Transportation

In addition, several pending appointments require a change to House Rule 23 specifying the number of members on committees.

These appointments will take effect on opening day of the 2014 session, after House Rule 23 is amended:

Rep. June Robinson is appointed to Capital Budget

Rep. Tana Senn is appointed to Early Learning & Human Services
