‘Brian Walsh Act’ would cover duty-related heart attacks and strokes

Today, the House Labor & Workforce Development committee heard public testimony on House Bill 1445, the “Brian Walsh Act.”

The bill, sponsored by Rep. Kevin Van De Wege (D – Sequim), would include duty-related heart attacks and strokes to the list of occupational injuries that qualify for state industrial insurance benefits.
