There is a wealth of information online where you can access information about legislation
(including bill reports, analyses, and fiscal notes), committees (agendas, meeting times),
and what is currently being debated on the floor of the House and the Senate.
If you're interested, there are also several e-mail lists that you can sign-up for if you'd
like to receive updates about legislation, meeting times, etc. Each heading is a
link.
Overview of the
Legislative Process
Bill Information
- If you have a bill number, but don’t have the details, you can enter
the bill number and get a list of sponsors, a complete bill history, the full text of the bill
and any amendments, bill reports and analyses, a breakdown of votes on the bill, and information
on whether there is a companion bill on the same subject.
Committee Information
- You can also get updated information on committee rosters, agendas, and meeting times.
For an explanation of what topics a committee covers, click on the committee name.
E-Mail Lists
- We also have subscription-based email lists that are a convenient way to receive notices
of hearings, floor activities, updates, etc. You can receive them weekly or every day. You can
either subscribe to individual committee lists, or a combined list that has information on
every committee.
House Floor Activity Reports
- You can also track legislation being debated on the floor of the House of Representatives,
giving you instant access to amendments, vote counts, and related information. Get access to the
same information used by members, staff, and lobbyists. It’s the easiest way to follow what’s
going on in Olympia without being there.
