Biography

Mary Helen Roberts is a native of Oregon and has lived in the 21st District for twenty-seven years. She was first elected to the House in 2004.

Mary Helen has been active in county politics and various organizations, such as the United Way, committed to improving the quality of life for everyone. For eight years she served as a member of the Edmonds Community College Board of Trustees, and she is a co-founder and former Chair of the Children’s Campaign Fund. As a small business owner, Mary Helen was involved in importing Asian folk art. She is the parent of twin daughters. One lives in Bellingham and is teaching music, and the other is a graduate student at the University of Washington, Seattle.
