38th District lawmakers hosting Telephone Town Hall

oldphoneSNOHOMISH COUNTY & OLYMPIA – Citizens of Everett, Marysville, and Tulalip are enthusiastically encouraged to join state Sen. John McCoy, state Rep. Mike Sells, and state Rep. June Robinson in a Telephone Town Hall early Tuesday evening, Jan. 21, from 6 to 7.

Shortly before 6 o’clock that night, thousands of 38th Legislative District citizens will receive telephone calls inviting them to stay on the line to participate in the Telephone Town Hall. Folks who want to ask a question, or just listen to the program, will need to press “*3” (i.e., press the “star” button and then press the “3” button). Anyone who doesn’t get the call is encouraged to call the toll-free telephone number directly, 1-877-229-8493, and then enter PIN code No. 18646 when prompted.

This “tele-forum” is an opportunity for citizens to bring up questions, comments and concerns about topics related to the Washington State Legislature. The three lawmakers also emphasize that citizens should feel very free to contact them individually whenever they want to get something off their chest.

Further, people who want to send a message to lawmakers can always call this toll-free number, 1-800-562-6000, or this toll-free number, 1-800-635-9993 (for hearing-impaired citizens).

McCoy, Sells, Robinson and their 144 lawmaking colleagues are striving toward a Thursday, March 13, deadline for completing work in the two-month 2014 legislative session.
