... Number 4 in the country for having the best tax system for entrepreneurship and small businesses, that is.

The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) recently released a report titled "Business Tax Index 2008: Best to Worst State Tax Systems for Entrepreneurship and Small Business". The Council ranked states based on the costs of their tax systems for small business start up and growth.

This follows a report from Forbes Magazine last July that ranked Washington as the fifth best state for business and proclaimed that "Virginia may be the top-ranked state for the second straight year, but Washington is the big story.."

Big story, or old news? We hate to brag (not really), but we already knew that Washington is a great place to live and do business.
