Human trafficking: More work to do

via HuffingtonPost

This is a chilling story of trafficking in the northeast corner of the United States.

We’ve worked so hard here in Washington to fight modern-day sex slavery.

I’m proud to have worked for years with my seatmate, Senator Jeanne Kohl-Welles, who has played a leading role for the past decade to pass legislation that criminalizes human trafficking in our state.

We must continue to work with partners across the nation to adopt comprehensive immigration reforms.

And it is time to demand that when we open our borders to trade, we will work harder than ever to stop trafficking.
