Halfway through the special session, Senate budget leads are still refusing to enter into serious negotiations with the House to produce a compromise budget. This is frustrating, but I was privileged to put politics aside for a day and host a wonderful group of students and parents from Auburn’s Camelot Elementary School. Being able to meet the leaders of tomorrow and their families is a genuine honor. Our future is truly in good hands.
