Rep. Farrell’s Biography

Elected in 2012, Representative Jessyn Farrell represents the citizens of the 46th district, which includes Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, and parts of North Seattle.

Jessyn is currently an attorney with a focus on mediation.  Previously, Jessyn worked as the Executive Director of Transportation Choices Coalition, an organization dedicated to expanding bus, rail, bicycle and pedestrian transportation options. Her biggest accomplishment – bringing together transit and road advocates in support of transportation initiatives that secured billions in transit funding – is also a top priority in Olympia.

Jessyn grew up in the Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood and Lake Forest Park, attending local public schools and the University of Washington. As a mother of two young children, she is passionate about Washington’s education system and will advocate strongly for fully funding our kids’ education system, from early learning through higher education.

As a legislator, Jessyn serves as Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee. She also serves on the Local Government and Environment Committees.
