The budgets are finally agreed to, here is a look at what’s in them.

This was officially the longest Legislative Session (176 days) in the history of our state and we are all glad the final gavel came down last Friday afternoon.While there were certainly many frustrating moments, in the end we avoided a government shutdown by passing the operating budget before the end of our fiscal year, and on Friday we passed the last bills to finalize the capital and transportation budgets. The Milbank Memorial Fund and the Reforming State Group have selected Representative June Robinson to participate in the 2015  Emerging Leaders Program. The program helps legislators gain skills and policy tools that are essential to advocating for healthy communities. A consequence of the personal belief vaccine exemption

Recent reports show that nearly 11 percent of kindergarteners in Washington do not have up to date vaccination records on file with their schools. In this KOMO News report, Rep. June Robinson discusses the personal belief exemption and her work to increase immunization rates in Washington. Rep. Robinson introduced a bill during the 2015 legislative session to eliminate the personal belief exemption. The bill, HB 2009, did not pass.
