After 120-day ban on flavored vaping products, Washington will aim for permanent ban, tougher regulations
As Washington state’s 120-day ban on flavored vaping products nears its halfway point, Gov. Jay Inslee and other state officials are working on a firmer response to a rise in vaping. In addition to a permanent ban on flavored vaping products, Inslee will propose legislation next month that would eliminate bulk sales and cap nicotine levels in noncannabis vaping products, said Sheri Sawyer, one of Inslee’s senior policy advisers. Continue reading in The Seattle Times.

The tally of data breaches reported by businesses, colleges, state agencies and private organizations in Washington climbed nearly 20 percent in 2019. But the number of state residents potentially victimized by cybertheft of personal information was lower than the previous year, according to the state Attorney General’s report on data breaches released last month.
