Health Care & Wellness Committee to hear Chair Bronoske’s priority bills Friday

OLYMPIA— Protecting access to care remains the focus of Health Care & Wellness Committee Chair Rep. Dan Bronoske’s agenda in 2026. This Friday, January 16, House Bill 2182 and House Bill 2242 will get their first hearings in the committee.

“I want every person in Washington to be able to get the healthcare they desire,” said Rep. Bronoske. “That requires providing them with the best possible information about their care decisions in addition to making sure those services remain available. It’s that simple.”

HB 2182 addresses the distribution of the state’s stockpile of Mifepristone aiding in the availability and affordability of reproductive services in Washington.

HB 2242 guarantees that every resident of Washington seeking evidence-based, preventative care will be able to receive it. It also ensures necessary information remains available for residents to make informed decisions about their and their families healthcare.

Friday’s committee hearing will take place in the John L. O’Brien Building, Hearing Room A. It can also be viewed remotely on TVW.
