Another court ruling blocks Trump’s wide-ranging tariffs
The ruling also applies to Washington state as an importer subject to the tariffs, according to the ruling. Washington Attorney General Nick Brown called the ruling “a win for both affordability and the rule of law.” “It’s American consumers and businesses that have ultimately paid for the president’s illegal tariff campaign,” he said in a statement. “The court’s order will encourage more parties to challenge this illegal executive overreach.” Continue reading at Washington State Standard. A Longwoods International’s survey of 1,000 adults found that of those who intended to travel in the next six months, 41% are planning to travel to destinations closer to home, 36% are reducing the number of trips they plan to take, and 8% are canceling their plans all together. Washington tribe seeks control of Dungeness Spit refuge
The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe wants to take control of two wildlife refuges on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula back from the federal government.
