Why: Join the House Community Safety Committee for a work session related to the most recent crime trends in Washington and nationally. Crime statistics are notoriously difficult to evaluate and draw conclusions from. However, this data is critical to informing policy and a shared understanding of what crime is happening in Washington’s communities as well as its impact on the public.  The session will include presentations, discussion, and testimony from researchers and analysts in Washington, as well as nationally recognized experts and programs.
