Spread the word: small business grants

Last week, I told you about the small business grant program announced by The Kitsap Economic Development Alliance and the City of Bainbridge Island. This week I have more good news. The Department of Commerce is launching a new round of Working Washington small business grants on Monday, March 29th. To be eligible for the grants, you must be an active for-profit business, and have been in business since January 1, 2020. You must also generate 51 percent of your revenue in Washington state, and have a brick and mortar in Washington state, with gross earnings between $25,000 and $5 million in 2019, with a decrease in revenue this past year due to COVID-19

I voted to create this small business grant program as part of our COVID relief plan in the 4th week of the legislative session, so I’m happy to see it’s up and running. Please do apply if you’re a small business affected by the pandemic: we want businesses to get help to stay afloat. For the rest of us: keep those masks on, keep your distance, and get that vaccine as soon as you’re eligible!
