Dear friends and neighbors,
The 2026 legislative session begins this coming Monday, so this is a great time to check in and hear from you. What is important to you, your family and your community? What issues affect your day-to-day life?
We’ve said it before: democracy is about participation. So, please click here or on the button below to fill out a short survey on YOUR priorities. This survey will only take a minute or two and the information you provide will help guide our decisions as we consider legislation and navigate a difficult supplemental budget year.
Do you know someone who wants to be a legislative page?
Our legislature has one of the best page programs in the country. Applications are open! Legislative pages are youth aged 14 – 16, who serve in Olympia for one week during the legislative session. They are sponsored by a legislator and learn about the lawmaking process and how government works. Their lessons include daily civics education, participation in mock committee hearings, and helping to conduct legislative business. If you know any young people who may be interested, please click here for more information.

Get in touch and participate!
Our government works best when everyone participates. The legislature has some creative and effective solutions to ensure Washingtonians can engage actively during session, no matter where they live or if they are unable to make it to Olympia.
Whether you want to come to Olympia or stay home, we have options to watch and participate in committee hearings, contact your legislators, comment on a bill, or just learn more about what’s going on. Click here to review the many ways you can get involved in the lawmaking process.
