I’ve been contacted by many people frustrated by changes to the vaccine rollout.
I reached out to the Governor’s Office and expressed—in the strongest terms possible—that this is not acceptable for our community.
I’ll continue to work with state and local officials to advocate for a better and more equitable vaccination distribution system.
Last night, I voted for a $2.2 billion COVID relief package that includes $618 million to boost our statewide push for vaccination, testing, and contact tracing.
Moving forward, our vaccination rollout needs to operate more smoothly and more predictably. That’s especially true on the local level, where hospitals and clinics are relying on the state to distribute vaccines efficiently and offer logistical guidance.
Getting this right is absolutely critical to saving lives and protecting the community from the COVID-19 virus.
