You’re invited: Rep. Lovick hosts telephone town hall and coffee chats

OLYMPIA—All residents of the 44th Legislative District are invited to participate in a telephone town hall and two coffee chats, both hosted by Rep. John Lovick (D-Mill Creek).

“Listening to the citizens is a fundamental part of our American democracy,” Lovick said. “Whenever I meet a person, I learn something—so I look forward to hearing your ideas, comments and questions.”

Telephone town hall on May 2

The telephone town hall is set for 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on May 2, when most people living in the district should receive a phone call. If you don’t get a call, or want to participate online, here are the details:

To call into the town hall: 877-229-8493, using the PIN number 116360.

Anytime during the call, hit *3 on your phone to connect with a volunteer who’ll take your question. If the hour runs out before you get a chance to ask Rep. Lovick your question, please stay on the line at the end to leave a voice mail so Rep. Lovick and his office can get in touch with you with an answer.

There are also two online options for participating in the town hall: https://vekeo.com/whdc44/  or http://video.teleforumonline.com/video/streaming.php?client=16360

Coffee chats on May 8 and May 12

Lovick is holding two events, the first in Mill Creek and the second in Lake Stevens.

Here are the details:

Mill Creek—10 a.m. to noon on May 8 at the Mill Creek YMCA, 13723 Puget Park Drive.

Lake Stevens—10 a.m. to 11:30 on May 12 at the Lake Stevens Fire Station No. 82, 9811 Chapel Hill Road

“Coffee chats are a different, smaller event compared to town halls and telephone town halls, but the ideas and issues are just as big and important to people and their families,” Lovick said. “And the first step toward tackling problems is coming together to have a real, face-to-face dialogue about the issues all of our families face every day.”
