Helping families with consumer debt

Watch Rep. Kristine Reeves tell her personal story about her previous struggles with medical debt and why she believes consumer debt reforms are needed to help families stay out of poverty. Her bill, HB 1602, would provide additional relief from high percentage interest rates on consumer debt and gives families a better chance of climbing their way out of debt obligations.

HB 1602 passed the House floor on March 1, 2019 and now goes to the Senate for consideration.
