Representative Judy Clibborn (D-Mercer Island) has received the Seattle Chamber of Commerce’s Senator Scott White Leadership Award for her work on the transportation investment package passed during the 2015 legislative session.
The award has been presented annually since 2012 to honor the life and work of the late Senator Scott White. It recognizes individuals who embody his commitment to public service and working across the aisle to reach common sense solutions.
“Scott White was a thoughtful and passionate public servant who never shied away from tackling the big issues,” said Representative Clibborn. “I am deeply humbled to receive this award in honor of his legacy.”
The award was presented at the Chamber’s Regional Leadership Conference in late October. Representative Clibborn was honored alongside her counterpart on the Senate Transportation Committee, Senator Curtis King (R-Yakima).
