“I congratulate Congressman Dicks on his decades of service to the people of his district and to our entire state. He has been a hardworking and tireless advocate for family-wage jobs, a healthy environment, and critical infrastructure projects that keep our economy moving. Our communities have been well-served by his leadership, his constituents have appreciated his ongoing accessibility, and I have personally been very proud to have him as my representative in our nation’s capital. His retirement is well-deserved, and leaves very big shoes to fill.
“After careful consideration with my family, we have decided it is best for the 24th District, and for us, if I remain in the state House. I look forward to working together with the next representative from the 6th Congressional District on the issues of importance to Clallam, Jefferson, and Grays Harbor counties.”
