Mia was first elected in 2013 to represent the 33rd district, including SeaTac, Normandy Park, Des Moines and parts of Kent, Burien, Renton and Unincorporated King County.
Mia served on the SeaTac City Council from 2008 to 2015. While on the council, she served on the Puget Sound Regional Council Executive Board, Board of Directors for Sound Cities Association and other regional committees.
Mia has degrees from Highline Community College and the University of Washington.
