Rep. Marcus Riccelli

Thanks for stopping by my webpage. As I’m sure you know, this is an election year, which means that election-year restrictions go into effect on July 1. Included among these restrictions, is posting new updates to this page over the summer and fall months. However, I am your representative all year long. Back in the Community   NOTE: This will be my last e-newsletter for a little while. State law does not allow members up for re-election to send electronic newsletters more than one month after the legislative session. I will continue sending regular updates as soon as it becomes allowable according to election law. I was honored by the opportunity to stand with firefighters, nurses, concerned parents, and faith-based  leaders in our community to raise awareness about the Toxic Free Kids & Families … Continue reading

In odd years, we lay out the “biennial” … Continue reading

Riccelli Bills Go to the Governor   With just a few days left of the 2014 session, I am working hard to advance our community’s shared values of healthy families, economic security, and opportunity for all. Three of the bills I prime-sponsored have already passed out of the Legislature: the newborn screenings bill passed out on Wednesday, and my bills on individual care provider gloves and athletic trainer licensure passed on Friday. Each of these bills received overwhelming bipartisan support. The newborn screenings bill … Continue reading

Town Hall Take-Aways   My heartfelt thanks to everyone who took time out of their Saturday to make our Town Hall a success. Town Halls are a two-way bridge. For the community, it is an opportunity to see how well your elected officials are representing your priorities and values. For legislators, it is an opportunity to hear firsthand what matters to the people we are elected to serve. Senator Andy Billig and I were greeted by a full house at the Museum of Arts & … Continue reading
