Get out your hard hats and shovels: we’re building more schools from Beachwood to Walla Walla.
Money approved by state lawmakers ($212 million) in the capital budget is being matched by about $381 million in local funds to build new schools or modernize existing schools around the state.
The state’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, Randy Dorn, released a list of specific construction projects around the state, by county and school district.
The list, which includes 21 different school districts starting modernization projects or building entirely new schools, is below.
