HB 2095: Columbia River Crossing

March 29, 2017
HB 2095 did not make it out of the Senate Transportation Committee before the next cutoff, therefore it is likely “dead” for the session. However, a companion bill, SB 5806, is still alive and moving through the process. That bill was approved by the House Transportation Committee and is awaiting consideration by the House of Representatives.

HB 2095 passed off the House floor by a vote of 60-38. It now goes to the Senate for consideration. You can watch my floor speech here:

Seven Southwest Washington legislators from both parties and chambers have come together to introduce House Bill 2095 and Senate Bill 5806. This is one step in a bigger conversation to work towards a solution and I am thankful we are working together to achieve a common goal.
