State Rep. Jim Moeller‘s statements on House Bill 2058, which would cut $480 million in administrative costs and transfer some unspent monies to help address the budget crisis. The full House of Representatives is expected to vote on the bill later today.
“We have a huge task in front of us. This bill, like every bill we propose, is essentially a reform. We have cut $10.5 billion from the budget over the last three years, so there are simply no easy answers. At the same time, Democrats don’t believe we need to jettison our old, our poor, our seniors, or our disabled to govern responsibly. We offer real reform for real people – not ‘reforms’ that won’t help us today.”
