Last week week Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced a new resource guide for Washington’s veterans and military personnel that covers their legal rights and protections.
The guide is part of a broader initiative that also includes outreach efforts, consumer protection and the development of policies that move forward the interests of our veterans and military servicemembers.
The Military & Veteran Legal Resource Guide aims to provide clear information on federal and state laws. It may help them avoid credit and foreclosure problems, protect them against discrimination in employment and housing, explain ways to seek legal assistance.
The guide also provides healthcare and education information, among other benefits, in four comprehensive sections:
- Consumer Laws
- Employment Laws
- Other Veteran & Military Laws
- Legal Proceedings & Assistance
