Medical bills continue to be the leading cause of bankruptcy in the U.S.
And while the Affordable Care Act doesn’t claim to completely solve that problem, it’s a good first step in the right direction.
Obamacare is saving lives and sparing the pocketbooks of low and middle income Americans.
HuffingtonPost has a collection of stories from of people would have suffered due to a medical condition if it weren’t for Obamacare.
Like Eric Wolske who lost his foot in a motorcycle collision. Because he’s still on his parents insurance, thanks to Obamacare, he won’t be crippled in debt.
And Miss M. Turner who experienced pain for several days and had to go to the ER. They discovered tumors in her uterus, and since that was a “pre-existing condition” she was denied traditional health insurance.
But thanks to Obamacare, she was able to get the health care coverage she need and the treatment she deserved.
