Rep. Cyrus Habib of Kirkland has been named as one of “12 state legislators to watch in 2014” by Governing magazine.
The magazine notes that Habib, first elected to the House in 2012 and “believed to be the country’s first and only Iranian-American state legislator,” has overcome blindness from a childhood disease to achieve educational, professional and legislative success.
