I had the great pleasure this session to spend some quality time with a couple of terrific 23rd-district constituents. Wallace Ross (left) is an English teacher at Olympic High School in Bremerton, where his son, Cameron (center), is a freshman. I was privileged to meet them when I donated a “Shadow Day” to Kitsap Montessori School, where Cameron’s younger sister is a student. They won the auction, and Cameron was able to shadow me on a typical day at the Legislature. He was also named honorary page, and sat beside me on the House floor as our chamber celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I thank them both for visiting. And remember, you don’t have to win an auction to visit the Capitol. I’m always happy to welcome visitors from back home!
