No matter how intense a given day can get here in the Legislature, especially as cut-off approaches and bills are falling by the wayside, a visit from young people is a wonderful reminder of just what we’re supposed to be doing as lawmakers. Our job is to make the future a better place for everyone who will live there, and more than anyone, that means our children and our grandchildren. Today I had the privilege of meeting students and teachers from Federal Way’s Sherwood Forest Elementary School. I want to thank them all for visiting their state Capitol.
