Passage of the Equal Pay Opportunity Act is anticipated later today.
Rep. Tana Senn (D-Mercer Island), the bill’s sponsor, will be available for questions from reporters in the wings of the floor immediately after the vote.
House Bill 1506 would prohibit pay secrecy policies, allow discussion of wages, ban retaliation against workers that ask for equal pay, and offer administrative options as well as damages if private action is pursued.
