The Washington Legislature on Thursday night passed a long-awaited capital budget, freeing up funds for a number of projects in Capitol Hill and the greater 43rd District.
“I’m really excited about all the projects we’ve got,” said House Speaker Frank Chopp.
He said he was particularly focused on school construction, affordable housing and community health investments statewide. There is $17 million in the budget for community dental clinics.
