Orca Recovery Task Force

A couple of weeks ago I was appointed to serve on the Southern Resident Killer Whale Task Force.

The fact that we only have about 75 whales left is a matter of serious concern to me (watch my January Ask Brian video on the need to address this issue), so I am excited to be a part of the recovery effort.

The task force, which is comprised of 31 members, already held its first meeting (agenda available here), and I am confident that we will figure out the best way to solve this problem.

Election Year Restrictions

This is my last e-newsletter before election year restrictions kick in next week.

During an election year, there are certain restrictions on my communications to prevent the use of state resources for election purposes. Beginning May 14, 2018 and until after the November election results are certified, I will not send out newsletters and my caucus website will be frozen, meaning no new content can be added, but you can still find lots of information there.
