Judge rules gun restrictions Washington state voters approved in I-1639 are constitutional
federal judge has ruled that the voter-approved firearms Initiative 1639 is consistent with the Second Amendment, and therefore constitutional. Initiative 1639 requires enhanced background checks and waiting periods before purchasing semiautomatic rifles, bringing them in line with the requirements for purchasing handguns. Report: Pullman ranks 5th in nation with fastest -growing COVID-19 cases
New data shows Pullman, home to Washington State University, has one of the fastest-growing coronavirus outbreaks in the nation. According to a New York Times data dashboard, the city has five new cases of the coronavirus per every 1,000 residents. Continue reading at KIRO 7.

Millions of dollars at risk for Washington state in 2020 Census sweepstakes
According to the state’s Office of Financial Management, for every 100 households missed in the 2020 Census count, the state could lose up to $5.8 million. Undercounting will also have a disproportionate impact on communities historically undercounted, chiefly people of color, people with limited English skills, people experiencing homelessness, undocumented immigrants and people who identify as LGBTQ.
