State House passes bill to expand tax exemption for working families
The Washington state House of Representatives on Tuesday approved a bill that would expand the state’s Working Families Tax Exemption. If it were to become law in its current form, the proposal also would ensure the exemption is available to eligible taxpayers for the first time. After passing on a broadly bipartisan, 94-2 vote, House Bill 1297 now heads to the Senate for further consideration. Continue reading at The Olympian. (TVW)

Economic equity requires bold action from state legislators
Without major State investments, we will emerge from COVID-19 with even more racial, gender, and economic inequality than before the pandemic.
