Richards: New construction budget brings $147 million in local projects

construction in Washington

OLYMPIA—The capital budget that passed with massive bipartisan support includes $7.5 billion in funding, including $147 million in specific projects for the 26th District.

“This is great news for people throughout the district, and for everyone who fought hard to secure funding for their projects,” said Rep. Adison Richards (D-Gig Harbor). “Every one of these represents years of planning and hard work. They’ll create jobs this year for folks in hard hats while the infrastructure created will serve our families and businesses for generations to come. I’m particularly happy about securing $42 million for the West Sound Technical Skills Center, which so many of you fought for this session.”
