Governor Bob Ferguson has ordered state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities to be lowered in honor of Washington’s longest-serving Speaker of the House. Representative Frank Chopp died on March 22, 2025. He was 71 years old. He served as the Washington Speaker of the House from 1999 to 2019.
