Zach proudly represents the 5th Legislative District, including Black Diamond, Enumclaw, Issaquah, Maple Valley, and parts of North Bend, Renton, Sammamish, Snoqualmie, and unincorporated King County. He was appointed to fill a vacant seat in the House of Representatives in June 2025. He now serves on the House Environment & Energy, Local Government, and Transportation Committees.
A lifelong Issaquah resident, Zach served for six years on the Issaquah City Council, leading efforts to expand funding for affordable housing, public safety, crisis response, climate action, and transportation infrastructure. He also chaired the Eastside Fire & Rescue Board of Directors, ensuring our first responders were equipped with the tools and resources they needed to keep us safe.
He previously worked as a legislative assistant in the House and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Washington, including a Master of Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance.
