Representative Victoria Hunt was sworn in to the Washington State House of Representatives for the 5th Legislative District – including Snoqualmie, North Bend, Issaquah, Maple Valley, Black Diamond, Enumclaw, Fall City, and parts of Sammamish and unincorporated King County – in 2025.
With a PhD in Ecology and significant contributions as Chief Data Officer at Crosswalk Labs, Hunt is uniquely qualified to serve as Vice Chair of the House Environment & Energy Committee, which considers issues of air and water quality, climate change, toxics, energy, and more. She also serves as a member of the Local Government and Transportation Committees.
Rep. Hunt first became an elected official in 2019, serving on the Issaquah City Council where she championed initiatives for affordable housing, environmental stewardship, and enhancing public safety. Her efforts in Issaquah—ranging from developing a comprehensive Climate Action Plan to advocating for equitable community services—illustrate her holistic approach to governance.
Hunt’s work is driven by the belief that thoughtful planning and proactive environmental conservation are key to ensuring a vibrant future for Washington families. She advocates for policies and investments to create economic opportunity, reduce harmful pollution, support green energy, fully fund our education system, and generally help our communities build a greener, safer, and more prosperous Washington.
