WA youth in the state’s care endure rain, cold for holiday visits
Richelle Madigan had a black suit and tie and a pair of shiny black shoes sent to her son’s psychiatric inpatient facility as a secret surprise for his 13th birthday. It was the day after he had officially become a teenager, but visits were precious at the Child Study and Treatment Center in Lakewood, so Christian was bubbling with excitement. It would also double as their Christmas visit, as the facility limited the number of visitors per day Continue reading at Crosscut. (Richelle Madigan)
