The Capital Budget (HB 1115) passed by the Legislature this year included $54.6 million for the WSU Academic Building at the Everett University Center to house current and projected degree programs by WSU and its partner institutions.
University administrators and legislative leaders, including 38th District Reps. Mike Sells and June Robinson, were at the groundbreaking ceremony held on September 22.
The 95,000 square foot building will house classrooms, laboratories, faculty offices, and services for students working toward degrees in STEM education fields. Construction is expected to be completed by spring of 2017.
