Rep. Ramos’ Newsletter: Bills passing, Town Halls on Saturday and 2020 Census Bill of Rights

Dear friends and neighbors,

We’ve been voting on legislation on the House Floor pretty much nonstop since last Wednesday. I am happy to report that four of my bills were passed on Sunday. You can read about them in this press release.

I am particularly proud of my carbon sequestration bill because I was able to bring a lot of people together to get it done. We hammered this piece of legislation until it looked good to everybody. So much so that there were no votes against! This is the first time a carbon bill makes it out of the House on a unanimous vote. I hope it fares just as well in the Senate.

TOWN HALL MEETINGS ON SATURDAY!

I also want to take this opportunity to remind you that Rep. Lisa Callan, Sen. Mark Mullet and I, will be hosting three town hall meetings this Saturday, February 22, at different locations for your convenience: Maple Valley, North Bend and Issaquah.

5th LD Town Halls

I hope you will join us!

Census Bill of Rights Passes House

Another piece of news is that last Wednesday, the House passed my Census Bill of Rights legislation.  Check out this press release and watch my video update below on why we need this measure.
