OLYMPIA — Rep. Marcus Riccelli (D-Spokane) issued the following statement upon passage of HB 2124, the Legislative Staff Collective Bargaining legislation.
“It is a benefit to all when people join together and speak with a more collective voice to have a say about their compensation, and the environment they work in. Our staff in the State Legislature deserve the same rights nearly all public sector employees have. The House Democratic Caucus has worked tirelessly to support legislation that brings fairness and justice to workplaces throughout our state – today with the vote off the floor we took an important step to ensuring these rights are extended to OUR workplace.”
