Accompanied by House Transportation Chair Judy Clibborn (D-41) and local 4th graders from Centennial Elementary, Governor Jay Inslee signed the 2014 Supplemental Transportation Budget into law.
The budget, SB 6001, is a no new taxes budget that continues construction of the projects that were promised in the 2003 and 2005 transportation packages and protects the 47,000-plus jobs that are tied to those projects over the biennium. It will help ensure Washingtonians can get from A to B getting stuck in wasteful gridlock.
