That’s according to Governing magazine, in an article that looks at the effect of a state’s economic well-being on the popularity of its governor.
The analysis does not consider Washington and its governor specifically, but the article includes a state-by-state ranking of economic prosperity, based on unemployment rates, state GDP and personal income, applied to a weighted formula. When the numbers are crunched, Washington comes in at No. 1, followed by Iowa and Texas.
