Comment Policy
Comments that violate any of these policies may be removed at our discretion. Page administrators reserve the right to suspend comment privileges for users with multiple comment violations.
- Public comments on posts will not be edited by House staff.
- All opinions and comments should contribute to the dialog and stick to the topic. As this is an official legislative communications platform, campaign-related content is not allowed. Page administrators reserve the right to remove any posts that are unrelated to legislative discourse or are profane, obscene, personally abusive or threatening, or incite lawless action.
- Comments are not open to the promotion or advertisement of a business, commercial transaction, charitable solicitation, or other non-legislative social media profiles.
- Comments containing private personal information such as Social Security numbers, private phone numbers or home addresses are prohibited.
- Comments posted to social media pages in no way constitute legal service of any demand, legal notice, or official communication to the House or any official or employee for any purpose.
- Apparent spamming or trolling comments will be removed.
- Comments featuring copyrighted materials or registered trademarks will be removed.
- This comment policy is subject to amendment or modification at any time to ensure its continued use is consistent with state ethics laws, House rules, and its intended purpose as a limited forum.
