Janice represents the 41st District, which includes Mercer Island, Newcastle, Beaux Arts Village, and portions of Bellevue, Issaquah, and Sammamish. She currently serves as a member of the Finance, Transportation, and Housing Committees and Vice Chair of the Local Government Committee. Janice is also Chief Engineer at the Port of Seattle and holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Washington Evans School, as well as a Master of Science degree in structural engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, both from the University of Washington. An immigrant from Hong Kong, Janice raised two daughters in Bellevue, where she formerly served as a City Councilmember, and has lived there for over 30 years.
