The White River Bridge on State Road 410 has reopened to traffic two weeks ahead of schedule. We would like to thank you all for patience during this time as we know the bridge is a vital piece of infrastructure for residents. During this time, we showed each other compassion and eased burdens – a testament to who we are as a community.
We would like to thank Gov. Ferguson and WSDOT for their leadership and swift response and helped lessen the impact in our region. The U.S. Small Business Administration granted the Governor’s formal request for a declaration that allows businesses impacted by the closure to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans. The declaration covers local and tribal businesses and nonprofits in King and Pierce counties, as well as impacted businesses in Chelan, Kitsap, Kittitas, Lewis, Mason, Snohomish, Thurston and Yakima counties.
Businesses can apply for the low-interest loans online using the MySBA Loan Portal. For further information, impacted businesses can contact the SBA disaster assistance customer service center by email at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov or by phone at 1-800-659-2955. These loans are still available during the Federal government shutdown; however, there may be processing delays.
We were also pleased to see that the Dan Evans Bridge on SR 169 over the Green River, just south of Black Diamond, was reopened on Wednesday after a month-long closure. You can read more about the bridge on WSDOT’s website here.
Once again, we thank you for your patience and commend your sense of community during this time.
In service,
Rep. Lisa Callan
Rep. Zach Hall
