Dear friends and neighbors,
I hope you are healthy and well, and looking forward to the holiday season with your loved ones.
Government services can be a challenge to navigate, so I want to take this opportunity to provide you with a series of links to resources for easy access:
ONE-STOP SHOP FOR ALL STATE SERVICES
Whatever you need to do, the easiest place to start is our state’s online portal, Access Washington. This is your one-stop-shop for state resources like licensing, insurance, and unemployment. Below are a few quick links, and here is a full directory of services. |
WA-211WA-211 is also a great resource to help you know what services you may qualify for, and how to apply. Simply dial 211 or visit WA211.org to get connected with utility assistance, housing, child and elder care, crisis intervention and much more. |
OTHER RESOURCES:
- King County COVID-19 Financial Help
- Rental Assistance
- Mortgage assistance
- Utilities assistance
- Food Assistance
- Emergency Food Assistance
WATCH LIVE OR CATCH UP WHEN YOU HAVE TIME
In Washington, we’re fortunate to have a ground-breaking public affairs station, TVW, a non-profit that broadcasts House and Senate committee meetings, Floor debate, and other key state government events and activities. When you are unable to watch an event live, you can find it in TVW’s extensive video and audio archives. |
WAYS TO CONNECT WITH ME
December 1st marks the start of state election-year restrictions around legislative communications, so this is my last e-newsletter until session begins in January.
Unlike the 2021 session, which was fully remote, the 2022 session will be hybrid. So I will be dividing my time between Olympia and district, but you can follow my work and reach me anytime:
- Visit my website to read press releases and newsletters, and see the bills I introduce and co-sponsor.
- Follow me on Facebook for the latest news
- Email me or my Legislative Assistant, Mary Soderlind
- Give us a call: 253-656-5265 or 800-833-6388 (TTY for hearing impaired)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to the people of the 33rd Legislative District for your endurance and your fighting spirit as we all continue battling this virus together.
As we gather safely with family and friends this week, I’d like to share some of the things I am thankful for with regards to the work we did in the 2021 session:
I hope that you have a lovely holiday season and that you, your family and friends stay safe and healthy whether at home or while traveling this week.
See you in 2022!
Rep. Tina Orwall
